Job summary

GXO Logistics in Portbury is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our Wickes contract, delivering kitchen and bathroom flatpack items with a two-person crew.

You will start between 5am and 7am, Tuesday to Saturday, 45-hour week, with overtime payable at £17.54/hour. The base rate is £18.07/hour, plus a 42,285.35 per annum equivalent. Eligible for pension, discounts, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid in date Class 2 licence.
• Must hold a Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Full Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience.
• DBS check will be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles and operate company equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
• Report delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner.
• Debrief with traffic office on return to site.
• Self-manage and use initiative to solve problems.

GXO are looking for a Class 2 Driver who has a passion for customer service to join our team in Portbury carrying out a mixture of deliveries for our Wickes contract. Delivering kitchen and bathroom flatpack products as part of a two-person crew to customer houses and flats. As required to deliver bulk items to customer homes using a Class 2 HIAB vehicle from Wickes stores.

Pay, benefits and more: This position operates from Tuesday to Saturday starting between 5am and 7am equating to a 45-hour working week. We offer £18.07 per hour (£42,285.35 Per annum) as well overtime pay at £17.54 an hour! In addition, we offer the following:

Drive Company vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures and legislation

Comply with the vehicle security and standing procedure at all times

Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediately

Report any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner

On return to site, you will report to the traffic office for full debrief

This role ability to self-manage and use initiative for solving problems What you need to be successful at GXO:
