Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for Gloucester with early starts and guaranteed pay across shifts. You will deliver to residential and commercial customers, handle heavy lifting, and complete accurate paperwork while maintaining vehicle checks.

This ongoing role offers ad-hoc shifts with temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate, plus full uniform and PPE, and ongoing support from a dedicated Transport Consultant.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 Licence required.
• CPC Qualification Card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 9 points on licence.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy items.
• Professional and customer‑focussed attitude.
• Good communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle (Category C).
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00.
• Complete 1–12 deliveries per day.
• Deliver to residential and commercial customers.
• Heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Offload at kerbside or delivery location only.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep vehicle clean and roadworthy.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
• Completing 1 to 12 deliveries per day
• Delivering products to residential and commercial customers
• Heavy lifting and handball required
• Offloading products to the kerbside or designated delivery location only
• Providing excellent customer service
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean and roadworthy

Requirements
