Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver in Stonehouse. The role involves driving a Class 2 vehicle with start times 04:00–07:00, delivering to residential and commercial customers, and handling heavy lifting. All hours and breaks paid, with minimum 8 hours per shift, and temp-to-perm potential.

We offer weekly or monthly PAYE, rolled-up holiday pay option, flexible patterns, full uniform and PPE, and 24/7 Transport Consultant support.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence required.
• CPC qualification and tachograph card necessary.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle and complete 1–12 deliveries per day.
• Deliver to residential and commercial customers with care.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide excellent customer service at handoff.
• Offload and handball goods to kerbside or delivery point.

Paying £15 to £16.81ph, with all hours worked and breaks fully paid, this role offers ongoing work, ad-hoc shifts, and potential temp-to-perm opportunities for the right driver.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00
• Completing 1 to 12 deliveries per day
• Delivering products to residential and commercial customers
• Heavy lifting and handball required
• Offloading products to the kerbside or designated delivery location only
• Providing excellent customer service
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean and roadworthy

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence
• CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Maximum of 9 points for minor offences
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
• Professional and customer-focused attitude
• Good communication skills
