Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to join their team in Gloucester. The role involves delivering to both residential and commercial customers with start times between 04:00 and 07:00 and expects heavy lifting and careful handling of goods.

All hours and breaks are paid, with ongoing ad-hoc shifts that may lead to permanent opportunities for the right candidate. A strong customer-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence is required.
• CPC qualification card is mandatory.
• Digital tachograph card is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Start times between 04:00 and 07:00.
• Make 1–12 deliveries per day to residential or commercial customers.
• Heavy lifting and handball required.
• Offload at kerbside or delivery location.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep vehicle clean and roadworthy.
