Job summary

GXO is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for our Store to Home team in Erdington (B35 7RD). You’ll drive 40 hours weekly on a full-time, permanent basis, with multiple shift patterns and annual CPC training.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with category C2 or C Entitlement.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• Up to date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
• Be prepared to undertake pre-employment DBS check
• Be prepared to commute to Erdington (B35 7RD) for the required shift pattern
• Previous experience in multidrop store deliveries preferable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on multidrop basis – an average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
• Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to record all working hours as required by the WTD regulations
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Ensure all products are checked off the vehicle, and the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation
• Keep customers informed of their estimated time of delivery and where issues occur communicate with in a polite and courteous manner
