Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Swadlincote is hiring a skilled Class 2 Driver to join our Clicklink Click and Collect contract.

This full-time, permanent role offers a 48-hour week on a 4-on-2-off pattern with early start times between 04:00 and 06:00, delivering and collecting goods to high street retailers around the Midlands and North West. You will operate company vehicles safely, complete paperwork on time, and stay compliant with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence with Category C entitlement.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Experience driving Category C vehicles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect goods to high street retailers in the Midlands and North West.
• Load and unload using tail-lift and roll cages.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal manner.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Comply with drivers hours, tachograph, and Road Traffic Act regulations.

This is a full time, permanent role you will be contracted to work 48 hours per week on the shift pattern of 4 on 2 off with the start time window of 04:00 – 06:00.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Deliver and collect goods to and from various high street retailers in and around the Midlands and North West
• Loading and unloading using tail-lift and roll cages – (sometimes pallets)
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
• Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time
• Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Full UK driving licence with category C entitlement
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements within the previous 5 years
• Previous experience driving category C vehicles is preferable
