Job summary

The Best Connection is currently seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our South Ockendon team. You will drive a 26T Scania Class 2 vehicle, complete 2–3 deliveries/collections per day, with roughly 60% of driving in London. Starts 06:00, finish around 15:30.

This full-time role offers Monday–Friday shifts, no weekend work, your own allocated vehicle, HIAB training available, and a depot in South Ockendon. Training is provided for candidates without HIAB experience.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class 2 (C) licence.
• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience.
• Maximum 3 penalty points.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Comfortable with some manual handling/handballing.
• Good knowledge of London is an advantage.
• HIAB experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 26T Scania Class 2 vehicle.
• Make 2–3 deliveries and collections per day.
• Approximately 60% of driving in London.
• Deliver and collect scaffolding, boards, metal fencing and accessories.
• Some handballing involved.

Class 2 HGV Driver - £17.00 per hour - HIAB Training Available

Location: South Ockendon, Essex

Pay: £17.00 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00-15:30 approx.

The Best Connection are currently looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our client's team based in South Ockendon.

This is a Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend work, delivering and collecting scaffolding, boards, metal fencing and associated equipment.

The Role

• Driving a 26T Scania Class 2 vehicle
• 2-3 deliveries and collections per day
• Around 60% of driving is in London
• Delivering and collecting scaffolding, boards, metal fencing and accessories
• Some handballing will be involved
• Generally operating your own allocated vehicle, which you can keep to your own standards
• Starting at 06:00, with a usual finish around 15:30

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence
• Minimum 1 year Class 2 driving experience
