Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver for our Reading operation. You will deliver and collect powered access equipment, ensuring safe loading, securing and transport across multiple depots while maintaining paperwork and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect powered access equipment across depot locations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

• Deliver and collect powered access equipment, plant machinery, forklifts and other specialist equipment across multiple depot locations
• Load, secure and transport equipment safely in line with company procedures and legal requirements
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely, professionally and on time
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately
• Provide excellent customer service when attending customer sites
• Follow all transport legislation and health & safety procedures

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Digital Tachograph (Digi Tacho) card
• Driver CPC qualification
• Previous experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver or in a similar transport role
• Previous experience delivering, collecting or working with powered access equipment is essential
• Knowledge of powered access, plant hire, forklift or specialist equipment sectors
• A professional, safety-focused approach with excellent customer service skills
• Flexibility to support multiple depot locations when required
