Job summary

Driver Hire Belfast is seeking a reliable Class 2 (Cat C) Driver for tyre deliveries based in Mallusk, Co. Antrim. The role offers a guaranteed 42.5-hour week, £15.91 per hour, and £80 overnight allowance, with potential progression to permanent status.

Initial duties include NI and ROI deliveries, occasional overnight stays, and compliance with tachograph and driver hours regulations. The ideal candidate has a Cat C licence, CPC card and digital tachograph card, and good knowledge of NI/ROI

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) required.
• Driver CPC card and tachograph card required.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tyres safely to customers across NI and ROI.
• Load and unload tyres with manual handling.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness.
• Provide high level customer service at delivery locations.
• Adhere to driver hours, tachograph, and road transport rules.

Pay Rate: £15.91 per hour

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

The Opportunity

Driver Hire Belfast is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and reliable Class 2 (Category C) Driver based in Mallusk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business specialising in tyre distribution, offering a guaranteed working week, competitive pay, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The successful candidate will initially be responsible for deliveries throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Occasional overnight stays may be required. There is also the potential for UK delivery work once established within the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tyres safely and efficiently to customers across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
• Load and unload tyres, with manual handling involved
• Complete delivery documentation accurately
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Provide a high level of customer service at all delivery locations
• Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations

Requirements

• Full UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
• Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and professional attitude
• Willingness to undertake occasional overnight stays
