Job description

Search is currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 driver to work on behalf of our prestigious client based in Manchester. Please note you need at least 12 months of commercial class 2 driving experience for this role due to insurance purposes.

This is a double manned role and will involve the delivery of drinks (including alcohol) to customer locations. The position can be physically demanding, involving a significant amount of handball, including loading of the vehicle, so please consider this before applying.

Pay rates PAYE:
£15.00/h Monday to Friday

Pay rates PAYE (inc. holiday pay):
£17.65/h Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate Class 2 vehicle.
2. Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
3. Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
4. Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
6. Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (C) driving license, CPC, Tacho card.
• Experience in general haulage & able to strap.
• A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
