Job description

We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Class 1 Driver to join our clients in Manchester.

1. Mixture of general haulage, container, trunking, and store deliveries.
2. Start times between 05:00-07:00 and 18:00-20:00.
3. Various contracts in Trafford Park, Carrington, Swinton, Rochdale.
4. Monday to Friday, weekends also available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
• Perform tramping duties with overnight stays as required.
• Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.

Pay rates PAYE (inc. holiday pay):

• £17.37/h days
• £19.05/h nights
• £20.45/h Saturday
• £22.13/h Sunday

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license, CPC, Tacho card.
• Experience in general haulage, container plus dock card, trunking, ratchet strap.
• A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
