About the role

This role involves local driving, building relationships with regular customers, and working 45 hours per week. Overtime is available, and CPC training is fully funded.

Our drivers are vital to our business, ensuring timely deliveries with excellent service. The position operates on an 'Any 5 from 7' shift pattern, including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a smart, professional appearance and represent 'The Face of Booker'.
• Drive a clean, well-maintained vehicle safely.
• Use delivery equipment responsibly.
• Identify and report vehicle defects.
• Assess safety risks during deliveries.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Adhere to company policies and GDPR guidelines.
• Lead by example, embodying Booker’s values.
• Support branch functions when not on the road.

Requirements

• Class 2 vehicle knowledge and experience.
• Understanding of delivery equipment safety.
• Knowledge of vehicle defect policies.
• Previous PDA use preferred.
• Resilience and positive attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
