Job summary

PRMF is seeking a professional Class 2 Driver to join our transport operation across the UK. You'll drive rigid Class 2 vehicles, deliver and collect products, unload on site with the unload team, and uphold health and safety standards.

After a six-month qualifying period, PRMF will support training towards a Class 1 (C+E) licence, opening progression to larger vehicles. A CSCS card is required for construction site access, and a strong customer-service approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full Class 2 (Cat C) licence with a maximum of 3 points.
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience, ideally as a Class 2 Driver.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Physically fit and able to load/unload products on site.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Valid CSCS card, required for unloading on construction sites. If you don't hold one, you must be willing to obtain one after an offer is made.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect PRMF products across the UK in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Operate Class 2 rigid vehicles.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Transport, Health & Safety and Driving legislation.
• Unload deliveries on customer and construction sites, usually with the help of our unload team or labourers on site, safely and with minimal risk of damage.
• Safely load goods at our site, securing them correctly for transit.
• Follow site rules and safety requirements at every delivery location, including holding a valid CSCS card for construction sites.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Download and submit digital tachograph data weekly.
• Inspect goods on delivery and report any discrepancies or damage.
• Report incidents immediately in line with company procedures.
• Capture photographic evidence of wrapped goods and completed deliveries.
• Represent PRMF positively with customers, site managers and other stakeholders.
• Attend required training to maintain compliance and high-performance standards.

The Role

We're looking for a professional and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join our transport operation. You'll be driving company rigid vehicles, delivering and collecting products across the UK while representing PRMF to the highest standard.

Please note: this is not a drop-and-go role. You'll be responsible for unloading products on customer sites, including construction sites, usually with the help of our unload team or labourers on site. To access these sites you'll need a valid CSCS card. If you don't already hold one, you'll be required to obtain one after an offer of employment is made.

This is a hands-on role where safety, reliability and customer service are essential. You'll make sure goods are delivered on time, in excellent condition, and in full compliance with transport and health & safety legislation.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Full Class 2 (Cat C) licence with a maximum of 3 points

Desirable

• Experience moving furniture or similar products

• An interest in progressing to a Class 1 licence
