Job summary

XPO Logistics is recruiting a customer-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to operate from an Avonmouth outbase, working with our Doncaster operation on day shifts with occasional overnight stays. The role involves 6–8 deliveries daily, pre-loaded routes, and strong customer service as you navigate UK sites.

The package includes 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, overtime at enhanced rates, a company pension, cycle-to-work and various employee discounts, plus ongoing training and career development

Qualifications

• Full Category C (Class 2) Licence required.
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC essential.
• Max 6 penalty points; no DD/DR/IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver multi-drop loads of high-end kitchens to sites across the UK.
• Complete 6–8 deliveries per day with focus on service.
• Double manning with porter to ensure safe deliveries.
• Use PDA scanners to track deliveries and sign-off.
• Manual handling with pump trucks and sack barrows.

Job description

Logistics done differently.

We’re looking for a professional and customer-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team, operating from an outbase in Avonmouth while working alongside our wider Doncaster operation. This is a day shift role, with up to two overnight stays per week and early start times between (05:00 and 06:00) supported by overnight trunking—your vehicle will be pre-loaded overnight, ready for your delivery routes the following day.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Multi-drop delivery of high-end kitchens to construction sites and private homes across the UK
• Completing 6–8 deliveries per day with a strong focus on customer service
• Double manning with a porter to support safe deliveries
• Using PDA scanners for accurate delivery tracking and sign-off
• Carrying out manual handling using equipment such as pump trucks and sack barrows

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
