Job summary

Driver Hire Manchester North & Oldham are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Rochdale. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a path to permanent employment after 12 weeks, with early starts (as early as 3:00–4:00 am) and up to 2 nights out per week.

Weekly pay is available while employed by Driver Hire. Your role includes delivering high-value items, carrying out daily vehicle checks, completing paperwork, planning routes, and delivering a professional service

Qualifications

• Must have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
• Capable of handling high-value items safely and carefully.
• No more than 3 points on your driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-value items safely and securely.
• Undertake heavy lifting as part of the delivery process.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure safety compliance.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Plan and navigate routes efficiently.
• Provide a polite, professional service to customers.
• Represent the client positively at all times.

Driver Hire Manchester North & Oldham are part of a nationwide network of over 100 offices providing recruitment services to the transport and logistics industry.We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Rochdale. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable, professional drivers looking for a long-term position.Successful candidates will have the opportunity to become permanent employees of our client after 12 weeks, subject to satisfactory performance and the client's requirements.

Temp-to-perm, with the opportunity to become permanent after 12 weeks
Working Days:
Monday to Friday
Start Times:
Variable, with starts as early as 3:00–4:00 am
Nights Out:
Up to 2 nights per week
Night-Out Allowance:
£25 per night out
Pay Frequency:
Weekly pay while employed by Driver Hire
Guaranteed Hours:
8 hours per working day while employed by Driver Hire

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Be physically fit and comfortable undertaking heavy lifting.
• Be capable of handling high-value items safely and carefully.
• Have no more than 3 points on your driving licence.
• Training and PPEFull training will be provided, along with all relevant personal protective equipment (PPE)
