Job summary

XPO Logistics in Bury St Edmunds is hiring full-time Class 2 Day Drivers to join our network operations. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to business and residential sites on a daytime shift, with training provided and opportunities to advance into leadership, warehousing or sales paths.

You will need a Cat C licence (with limited penalty points) and prior customer-facing experience. Overtime is available at enhanced rates, and benefits include pension, uniform, and ongoing learning

Qualifications

• Cat C Licence with up to 6 penalty points or specific endorsement codes.
• Previous customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Full training will be provided.

You’ll be supporting us with our network operation, working on the day shift. The roles are multi-drop delivering business and commercial supplies to customers at various locations. You will be working weekdays only. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive rate of £16.05 with overtime at an enhanced rate. In addition, we offer 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 27 days with 4 years service, plus all our great benefits including ongoing learning with the XPO University, Pension, free uniform and great savings and benefits.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

• Making deliveries to commercial and residential properties and sites to a specified room
• Multidrop across several different locations
• Operating a Cat C Vehicle
• You will be a variety of different products
• Full manual handling training will be given

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

• Cat C Licence (with no more than 6 penalty points or DD DR TT IN endorsement codes)
• Previous experience would be great for this role, although full training can be given
• You will be working at customers sites making complex deliveries so must have previous experience in customer-facing roles
