Job summary

XPO TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS UK LIMITED is hiring a full-time Class 1 Day Driver for our Bury St Edmunds site. The role involves daytime routes between sites, with the potential for overtime and progression into other business areas over time.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £16.82 including allowances, 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension, discounts, and access to CPC training and XPO University.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Penalty points no more than six and no disqualifications.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• ADR qualifications would be advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week + overtime.

Responsibilities

• Delivering between customer sites and making collections when required.
• Safely operate your vehicle adhering to XPO standards.
• Safe use of tail lift and pallet trucks for sites where no FLT is available.

Whether you're an experienced driver or newly qualified, we'd love to hear from you. As a Driver, you'll be working on our Day routes, delivering between sites in our network and customer sites. You'll be working a minimum of 40 hours (plus overtime) per week on the Monday to Friday day shift. In return for your hard work, we'll offer you a competitive rate of £16.82 including all allowances. What you'll do on a typical day:

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• We'll need you to have a full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement),ADR qualifications would be advantageous for this role
• You’ll have no more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
