Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. at Wickes Bellshill is seeking a Class 2 driver to join a two-person delivery crew. This permanent, full-time role runs 45 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday, starting between 05:00 and 07:00, delivering kitchen & bathroom flatpack products to customer premises with high service standards.

You will drive a Class 2 HIAB vehicle, perform pre-shift checks and ensure compliance with drivers’ hours. Annual salary £39,527.31 plus KPI bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivering kitchen & bathroom flatpack products as part of a two-person crew to customers' premises, including high rise buildings, with excellent face to face service.
• Deliver using a Class 2 HIAB vehicle, as required from Wickes stores.
• Carry out pre-operational checks and report defects or delivery issues promptly.
• Comply with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements and health & safety policies.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Delivering kitchen & bathroom flatpack products as part of a two-person crew to customers premises, including high rise buildings, providing excellent face to face customer service
• Deliver using a Class 2 HIAB vehicle, as required from Wickes stores
• Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediately. Report any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner
• Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements
• Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident and damage reporting

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full UK driving licence with category Class 2 entitlement
