Job summary

LWC Drinks Ltd is seeking a Class 2 Driver to deliver products to customers across a defined area and maintain vehicle care and customer service standards. You will operate 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, and wear the LWC Drinks uniform.

The role notes potential physical/manual handling and a 6-month probation with a £2,000 discretionary bonus if KPIs are met. In addition to delivering, you will complete delivery notes, manage payments, and assist in the warehouse when

Responsibilities

  • Deliver products to customers within a specific area safely and professionally.
  • Complete delivery notes, return sheets, and collect payments.
  • Follow delivery notes for special requests and routing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of premises security and operational information.
  • Check run sheets and pick orders for deliveries.
  • Plan routes based on schedules and customer requests.
  • Notify customers of stock shortages or delivery issues.
  • Return empty cases and gas bottles; store them correctly.
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Complete checks and pass sheets to the distribution manager.
  • Assist in warehouse duties when required.
  • Maintain a presentable LWC Drinks uniform.

Class 2 Driver

Reports to: Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Depot: LWC Andover

Overview

To deliver products to customers within a specific area in a safe and friendly manner. Responsible for the care and upkeep of your designated vehicle. To provide excellent customer service standards to every customer.

Main Duties
  • The responsibility of preparing the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all products for delivery are correct and that they have been loaded onto the vehicle correctly and safely.
  • Responsible for completing delivery notes, return sheets and collecting payments.
  • Execute any special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note.
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential regarding premises security and operational information.
  • Responsibility for checking the run sheets and picking orders for your deliveries and routing.
  • To plan your route and requirements for the drop by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.
  • Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their delivery.
  • Responsible for returning all empty cases and gas bottles, and ensuring that they are correctly stored in the empties yard and unloaded in the correct manner.
  • Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to.
  • To complete all required checks and ensure that check sheets are passed to the distribution manager.
  • The ability to help in the warehouse when required.
  • To look presentable in the correct LWC Drinks uniform at all times.

Please note, this role may involve physical and manual handling activities.

The role
  • 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 7am-3.30pm.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • £2,000 discretionary bonus dependent on KPIs, after successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
