Job summary

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Day Driver to join our reliable and growing transport operation based in the Bilston area. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a professional Class 2 Day Driver seeking ongoing, flexible work within the food distribution sector, with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The role involves nationwide RDC deliveries, occasional local shuttle runs, typically 1–3 drops per shift, and daily vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Ability to complete delivery paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Completing Class 2 deliveries to RDCs nationwide.
• Carrying out local depot-to-depot shuttle runs when required.
• Typically completing between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift.
• Operating an electric pump truck for unloading.
• Accurately completing delivery documentation using an electronic POD device.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport legislation.
