Responsibilities

Pay Rates

Monday to Friday

• Basic Pay: £16.00 per hour
• Rolled Up Holiday Pay Rate: £17.93 per hour

Saturday

• Basic Pay: £16.00 per hour
• Rolled Up Holiday Pay Rate: £17.93 per hour

Sunday & Bank Holidays

• Basic Pay: £17.00 per hour
• Rolled Up Holiday Pay Rate: £19.05 per hour

About the Role

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to join a well-established business within the manufacturing and distribution industry based in Birmingham. The successful Class 2 Day Driver will benefit from regular weekday work, optional weekend overtime and flexible start times wherever possible.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Completing deliveries to commercial customers across the region and nationwide
• Carrying out between 1 and 4 drops per shift
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Undertaking manual handling and handball duties when required
• Completing delivery documentation accurately using an electronic POD device
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Delivering excellent customer service at collection and delivery points
• Adhering to all driver hours, tachograph and road transport regulations

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday ongoing work
• Optional Saturday and Sunday overtime available
• Typical start times between 05:00 and 08:00
• Flexible start times available where operationally possible
• Shift durations between 8 and 12 hours

Requirements

To be considered for this Class 2 Day Driver role, you must have:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to complete manual handling duties safely
