Job summary

Pure Staff are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Day Driver for our client in Atherstone, Warwickshire. The role involves trunking between depots and stock transportation, with start times between 08:00 and 12:00.

You will lift and secure loads, adhere to drivers’ hours rules, and maintain safe vehicle operation. Only candidates with a valid UK Class 2 licence, CPC/DQC, and a tachograph card will be considered.

Class 2 Day Driver – Atherstone – Monday to Friday – £17.50

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Day Driver to work with one of our clients based in Atherstone. Our client is an established distributor of a variety of building, roofing, fencing and agricultural trade supplies. They are looking for a reliable Class 2 Driver to aid them in the transportation of stock and supplies between multiple depots

The Role

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing trunking work to their other depots, transporting their stock. Start times tend to be between 0800 and 1200.

To succeed in this role, you must be comfortable with a certain level of heavy lifting, as this will be needed to assist in the loading of the vehicle.

• Transporting stock between the clients’ depots

Pay Rates

• £17.50 per hour (with holiday pay accrued separately)

To be considered for this HGV Class 2 Day Driver – Atherstone position you’ll need:

• A valid UK Category C / Class 2 Licence
• A valid Driver CPC / DQC
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence
• Confidence with strapping and securing loads
• Good understanding of load security
• Good knowledge of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations
• A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
