Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Class 2 driver in Sheffield for multi-drop deliveries with potential 7.5T coverage. The role is temporary/ongoing with flexible shifts and diverse sites across Barnsley, Doncaster, Glass Houghton and Sheffield.

Requirements include ALLMI C5+E, CPC, Digi card and a clean two-year driving record. Shifts run Sunday to Saturday, with start times between 7:00am and 11:00am.

• 2 years ongoing experience with no gaps.
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to customers' homes.
• Completing vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift.
• Maintaining communication with the transport team and client.
• Ensuring paperwork and timesheets are completed accurately.

Class 2 (Category C) Lorry Loader Driver

Location: Queens Road Sheffield

Pay Rate:

• £16.50 per hour - Monday to Friday
• £24.75 per hour - After 8 hours (Monday to Friday)
• £24.75 per hour - Saturdays
• £33.00 per hour - Sundays & Bank Holidays

Times and Days of Work:

• Weekday and weekend shifts available
• Start times vary between 7:00am and 11:00am
• Work week runs Sunday to Saturday

Position Type:

About the Role

Drivers will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries to customers' homes. There may also be occasions where drivers are required to operate a 7.5T vehicle and cover alternative sites, depending on operational requirements.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Completing vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift
• Carrying out multi-drop deliveries to customers' homes
• Maintaining good communication with the transport team and client
• Ensuring all paperwork, including timesheets, is completed accurately
• Emailing all paperwork and timesheets by the end of shift on Saturday
• Demonstrating excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Representing The Best Connection and the client professionally at all times

What We're Looking For:

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• ALLMI C5+E Licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card
• Must have 2 years ongoing experience with no gaps
