Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a well-known client in Barnsley for experienced Class 1 Drivers. This role offers ongoing work with stable hours until late January, with a 5:00am start and a Monday to Friday pattern; you will typically complete up to four drops per shift and have an immediate start.

You will perform daily vehicle checks, complete paperwork accurately, and stay in close contact with the transport team and client to ensure a professional, reliable service while

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 CE Licence.
• Minimum 1 year's driving experience.
• Valid CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours regulations.
• Professional, reliable and safety-conscious.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores up to four drops per shift.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before departure.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain communication with transport team and client.
• Adhere to drivers' hours and road transport rules.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all locations.
• Report defects or vehicle issues promptly.

Class 1 Drivers

Location: Barnsley

Pay Rate:£17.00 per hour

Times and Days of Work: Monday to Friday (additional shifts may be available)

Position Times: 5:00am-6:00am start

About the Role

Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores, completing a maximum of 4 drops per shift. Drivers will be expected to maintain excellent communication with the client and provide a professional and reliable service at all times.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Completing store deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks before departure
• Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
• Maintaining excellent communication with the transport team and client
• Adhering to drivers' hours, working time regulations and road transport legislation
• Delivering exceptional customer service at all delivery locations
• Reporting any defects or vehicle issues promptly

What We're Looking For:
