Job summary

Manpower is seeking a reliable Class 2 driver to deliver cylinders across local routes. You will complete pre-start checks, load and secure shipments, and ensure deliveries meet customer specifications in a safety-conscious environment.

Applicants should hold a UK Class 2 licence with Driver CPC, a Digital Tachograph card, and an ADR gas licence. Prior HGV2 multi-drop experience is advantageous and can lead to temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (C) licence with a current Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• ADR licence in gas (2) packages.
• Experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles (cylinder or similar multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of UK road safety and compliance with driving regulations.
• Ability to load and secure goods safely, following manual handling and workplace procedures.
• Good level of route planning and time management to meet delivery schedules.
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with customers and site staff.
• Comfort working in a physically active role, including safe lifting and handling where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver cylinders safely and efficiently across local routes.

• Load, secure, and unload cylinders in line with safe handling procedures.
• Follow all relevant transport regulations, company policies, and site requirements.

• Report any defects, incidents, or delays promptly to the transport team.
• Drive responsibly with due care for pedestrians, other road users, and site personnel.
