Job summary

Driver Hire Chester & North Wales in Ellesmere Port is seeking a Class 2 ADR driver for a temp role starting at 7:00am, Monday to Friday, typically 10–12 hour days with possible Saturday overtime. Contract extends to March 2027.

You will deliver gas canisters across North Wales and Chester, perform vehicle checks, and carry out deliveries, with training provided by a driver mentor during induction.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence required
• Current ADR certificate with ADR in gases Class 2 in packages and tanked goods
• Full & valid CPC / Driver Qualification Card
• Full & valid Digital Tachograph / Driver Card

Responsibilities

• Deliver gas canisters across North Wales/Chester and surrounding areas.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure safety standards are maintained.
• Complete deliveries as required by routes and clients.
• Induction will be supported by a driver mentor and training will be provided.

Job description

We are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 ADR driver for our client based in Ellesmere Port to work Monday to Friday with a 7.00am Start, typically 10/12 hr days with possible overtime on a Saturday, this is a temp contract to March 2027

The role involves:

• Maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety for both ADR and Operation of the vehicle.
• Delivery of Gas in Canisters across North Wales/Chester and surrounding areas.
• Training-a driver mentor will be provided for the induction.
• Vehicles Checks.
• Completing Deliveries.

Competitive Pay: Earn £17.13 per hour or (£19.20ph adv), overtime rates of £25.70 (£28.80ph adv) Weekends paid at £25.70 (£28.80ph adv)

Flexible Shifts: Monday to Friday with some Saturdays in busy times. The hours of work will be around the hours of 7am - 5pm. Some overtime is required.

This role is temp role initially that will end March 2027, however for the right applicant, there is a possibility of permanent role.
