Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 Driving License (C+E).
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential.
• Completed CPC training course.
• HGV/LGV Class 1 licence with at least 6 months experience.
• Flexibility and good geographical knowledge are required.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Drive Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Inform transport office of problems promptly (e.g., delays).
• Be fit to drive, considering alcohol, rest, and medications.
• Arrive on time at the designated location.
• Deliver goods to various locations and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Operate in a safe manner and follow road rules.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and returned to transport office.

Class 1 Trunk Driver - Nights | Full time | Erith Palletforce Logistics is a leading pallet distribution company dedicated to providing efficient and reliable services to our clients. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and our supportive work environment.

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

THE SALARY

£44100 per year plus a £50 weekly drivers bonus

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;
• Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly;
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use;
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late;
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive;
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time;
• Excellent customer service;
• Maintain health and safety standards;
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules;
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office;
• Delivering goods to various locations.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• Minimum experience: 6 months;
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential;
• Completed CPC training course;
• Class 1 Driving License (C+E);
• Valid CPC,Digital tacho cards;
• Flexibility;Strong logistical and geographical knowledge;
• Good communication skills;
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times;
• Fully completed driver CPC;
• HGV / LGV Class 1 licence with at least 6 months experience;
