Job summary

Perm Resource is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 tramper drivers for ongoing work across the UK. The role mainly involves trailer swaps, with nights spent away from base during the working week.

Responsibilities include completing trailer swaps at depots and delivery points, tramping across the UK, performing pre- and post-trip checks, and keeping records accurate while maintaining professional customer service. Nights out payments apply where applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Tramping experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport regulations.
• A professional, dependable and flexible approach.
• Comfortable spending nights away from home.

Responsibilities

• Completing trailer swaps at designated depots and delivery points.
• Tramping throughout the UK.
• Nights out in the vehicle.
• Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Completing all required paperwork accurately.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Following drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and site procedures.
• Providing a safe and professional service at all times.
