Job summary

GXO Logistics is seeking an HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver in Birmingham to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will deliver across the UK, with regular night outs and stay-away requirements.

The role is 45 hours per week with shifts Sunday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, 14:00–20:00. We offer a competitive annual salary of £41,615.15, nights-out allowances, up to £480 monthly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including pension, dental insurance, GP services, and GXO University

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving experience essential.
• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification (DQC) and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Endorsements DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces across the UK.
• Handle palletised goods and cages with safe, efficient loading/unloading.
• Maintain communication with Depot Transport Office and provide courteous customer service.
• Operate vehicles in a safe, legal, and timely manner with accurate documentation.

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team in Birmingham working in partnership with British retailer, WHSmith.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 45 hours per week, we are currently recruiting for the following shift patterns:

• Sunday to Thursday, start time window of 14:00 to 20:00
• Monday to Friday, start time window of 14:00 to 20:00

Please note, this role requiresregular nights out and the successful candidte will be expected to stay away from home as part of the role.

What you will do on a typical day:

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by always being polite and courteous
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
