Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for a Class 1 Shunter Driver in Cardiff. You will move products and trailers across the site, working with the Transport Planning team to ensure smooth operations without long-distance routes or nights away.

The role offers shift-based pay with premiums for afternoons and nights, plus a potential annual bonus and career progression within a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph / Driver Card.
• Experience as a Shunter Driver in busy industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Shunt and move products and trailers across the industrial estate efficiently.
• Operate Class 1 vehicles safely within a busy site.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Follow Transport Planning movement instructions and site procedures.
• Secure loads on flatbed and curtain-sided vehicles.
