Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting experienced Shunter Drivers to join our team in Bournemouth. You will be responsible for shunting trailers within the yard and coordinating with transport teams to ensure safe, on-time movements.

Shunter Drivers work Monday to Friday nights, starting 02:00am and finishing by 10:45am. A minimum of 6 months shunting experience, a Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph card are required, with strict adherence to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ shunting driving experience.
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
• Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical).

Hours

Night Shunter Drivers:

• Start time 02:00am to 10:45am.
• Monday to Friday.

Pay Rates: £19.08 per Hour.

Location: Bournemouth

The Role:

• Shunting trailers within the yard.
• Yard manoeuvring and reversing with confidence and accuracy.
• Communicating effectively with transport and logistics teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months’ shunting driving experience.
• Full UK Class 1 licence (C+E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical).
• Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
