Zusammenfassung

GI Group Main Account in Coventry is seeking a Class 1 Shunter Driver for ongoing site work after a successful assessment. You will operate a Terberg tug in the yard, load/unload freight, and ensure trailers are moved safely and on time.

Training support is provided for newly qualified drivers, with shifts available across a 7-day pattern. Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E), Driver CPC, and Tachograph card, be at least 21, and have shunting or driving experience.

Qualifikationen

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum age 21 for insurance purposes.
• 6 months shunting experience or 2 years driving preferred.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (SP endorsements only; no other endorsement types accepted).
• Must provide a full 2-year work or education history.
• Calm under pressure, flexible, with strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail.

Class 1 Shunter Driver

• Our client in Ryton-on-Dunsmore requires some ongoing shunting work
• Candidates will complete an assessment followed by 2/3 site specific shunting training
• Upon successful completion of the assessment, candidates will move into ongoing work with our client

Class 1 Shunter Driver - Rates of Pay: Standard Rate (Weeks 1-12):

Day 1

After 12 weeks

Class 1 Shunter Driver - Shifts and Hours:

• Shifts available 7 days a week (Part time & full time available)
• Afternoon start windows: 12:00 - 16:00
• Morning start TBC
• Shifts run on average around 10 hours per day

Class 1 Shunter Driver - The Role:
