Job summary

Shunter / Shuttle Driver role based in Magor with People Providers. Responsible for moving trailers across site and between local facilities, with a 4 on / 4 off pattern. Requires a valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, in-date Driver CPC and Tachograph Card. Training will be provided for those new to shunting.

Days and nights shifts with pay rates listed below; join a busy logistics operation offering stability and progression within a well-established team.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• In-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous shunting experience desirable; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle and tug checks, reporting any defects promptly.
• Safely shunt and position trailers across the site using a tug unit.
• Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to maintain the smooth flow of trailers and site operations.
• Shuttle trailers between the Brewery and Gwent Park as required.
• Adhere to all site health and safety procedures and operational standards.
• Ensure all movements are completed safely, efficiently, and within operational requirements.

Shunter / Shuttle Driver - Magor

People Providers are currently recruiting for Shunter / Shuttle Drivers to join a busy and prestigious client operation based in Magor.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for a stable role within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers across site and between local facilities.

Pay Rates

• Days: £17.93 per hour (inc RHP)
• Nights: £19.05 per hour (inc RHP)
• LTD £18.00 / £19.00

Shift Pattern

• 4 On / 4 Off
• Days: 06:00 - 18:00
• Nights: 18:00 - 06:00

Key Responsibilities
