Job summary

EVRi International is seeking a HGV Driver - Class 1 in Preston. The role involves night-shift trunking to regional hubs, driving a modern Volvo fleet, and performing routine vehicle checks. Expect 45 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with shifts starting around 16:00. Some sites may include loading/unloading and scanner tasks; home every night for many routes.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence required as a minimum.
• Driver CPC qualification card
• Completed required DCPC training hours or be working towards them
• Excellent knowledge of road transport laws and commitment to safe driving

Responsibilities

• Trunking to regional hubs on the night shift with minimal supervision.
• Drive a Volvo truck within a high-spec fleet.
• Inspect vehicle and trailer daily and complete defect reports.
• Some sites may require loading/unloading; scanning consignments and using pallet trucks.
