Job summary

Bulkhaul in Newport is seeking experienced Class 1 LGV drivers for full-time roles. You will transport bulk liquids, gases and powders in tank containers across the UK, with night outs averaging 2-3 per week depending on needs.

Candidates must have 12 months Class 1 driving, LGV Class One license, Driver CPC and DQC, ADR for hazardous liquids, tachograph card, and be compliant with WTD regulations. The role emphasizes safety, vehicle checks, accurate paperwork and professional client

Qualifications

Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience.
Must hold LGV Class One (C+E) license for large trucks.
Driver CPC training completed; DQC valid.
Valid ADR license for hazardous liquids.
Valid digital tachograph card and compliance with hours regs.
Overnight night outs 2–3 per week as needed.

Responsibilities

Ensure the safe and timely transport of bulk liquids, gases and powders across the UK.
Conduct daily vehicle and trailer safety checks and report issues.
Complete paperwork: delivery notes, logs, compliance records.
Load/unload cargo following procedures; ensure cleaning between loads.
Communicate with clients and site staff; address issues with manager.
Adhere to working time directives and tachograph laws; manage driving times.
Follow health and safety guidelines; wear PPE; report accidents.
