Job summary

Stobart, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Tramper Driver for a permanent, full-time position in Appleton, Warrington. The role involves nationwide UK haulage, tramping and trunking work, and opportunities to support Formula 1 and international events logistics during peak periods.

You will drive modern vehicles, deliver and collect for general haulage, and ensure goods are transported safely with excellent customer service and compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card held.
• Minimum 6 months' Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Flexible approach to tramping and staying away from home.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nationwide UK deliveries and collections for general haulage.
• Perform tramping and trunking operations with modern equipment.
• Handle RDC deliveries and collections and customer handovers.
• Engage in drop and swap operations and maintain safety standards.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Adhere to Driver Hours, Working Time Regulations, and tachograph rules.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and professionalism.
