Job summary

Driver Hire - Bolton & Wigan seeks a Class 1 LGV driver for a Bolton-based client to handle tanker powder deliveries. The role involves loading and pumping powders into silos on site, with early starts and occasional Saturdays. Overtime is payable after 45 hours and some night-out work may be required.

You should have at least 12 months of driving experience, a clean licence with no more than 6 points and no disqualifying endorsements. A valid CPC and driving record are essential.

• Licence: no more than 6 points and no endorsements CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, TT.
• Valid commercial driving licence with referenceable experience.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation.

• Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Conduct pre & post use vehicle checks each day

Job description

A new opportunity has become available for an additional position for a Class 1 LGV driver for our Bolton based client.

This position will involve driving a tanker collecting powders. The tankers have their own pump for blowing the powder into the silo on the client premises.

This role is generally Monday to Friday with early starts (04:00) and also may require the occasional Saturday shift. When permanent the contract will be classed as any 5 out of 7 days. There will also be a requirement for occasional nights out.

Overtime is payable after 45 hours.

Minimum of 12 months experience required.

No more than 6 points and none of the following endorsement codes on licence CD,DD,DG,DR,IN,TT
