Job summary

Manpower is recruiting a Class 1 Driver (HGV C+E) for a full-time permanent role in West Thurrock, Essex. The successful driver will complete daily multi-drop deliveries across the M25 corridor and handle container transport to and from major UK ports.

Requirements include a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and port cards (Felixstowe/Southampton/London Gateway). On offer is £39,000 per annum with a Monday–Friday pattern and consistent start times.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Port cards for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous multi-drop, container, port haulage or general haulage experience advantageous
• Good geographical knowledge of London, Essex, the M25 and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving using curtain-sided trailers and container skellies
• Daily multi-drop deliveries and collections
• Container transport to and from major UK ports
• Safe, compliant and efficient delivery of goods
• Maintaining excellent customer service and delivery standards
