KMC Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver for a leading plant hire business at their Bedford depot. This permanent, Monday-to-Friday role offers a salary of £45,918 per annum with no weekend working.

You will be responsible for safe delivery and collection of plant machinery to customer sites, including telescopic handlers, rotating telehandlers and smart tanks. Requires Class 1 licence, tachograph card, and CPC, plus good English.

Qualifikationen

• A valid Category C+E / Class 1 HGV licence.
• A valid Driver Digital Tachograph Card.
• An up-to-date Driver CPC qualification.
• No more than 3 points on licence.
• Good understanding of plant and machinery.
• Experience transporting plant machinery preferred.
• NPORS Loader Securer qualification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication in English.

Aufgaben

• Delivering and collecting plant machinery safely and efficiently.
• Transporting equipment including telescopic handlers, rotating telehandlers and smart tanks.
• Ensuring machinery is loaded, secured and transported safely.
• Completing deliveries in line with scheduled times.
• Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks.
• Representing the business professionally to customers on site.
• Working with the depot team to respond to changing schedules and priorities.
• Maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
