Job summary

Perm Resource in Manchester is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV drivers for ongoing UK production and transport work from our Manchester depot.

The role features predominantly night shifts, with start times typically between 4pm and 8pm and shifts of 10–12 hours. An induction of about 2 hours is provided, focusing on health and safety and daily requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence required.
• Valid CPC required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Reliable and professional approach.

Job description

Class 1 HGV Driver - Manchester

Location: Manchester

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Contract: Ongoing / Ad-hoc opportunities

Shifts: Predominantly nights, weekdays and weekends

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for ongoing UK production and transport work based from our Manchester depot.

The Role

• Approximately 99% night work
• Start times generally between 4pm and 8pm
• Typical shifts are 10-12 hours
• Minimum 8 hours paid per shift
• Weekend work available
• UK production and event-related transport work
• Ongoing work available for reliable drivers

Induction

All successful drivers will complete an induction of approximately 2 hours.

This is not a driving assessment or test. The induction covers health and safety, daily requirements, processes and procedures for the role.

Further Opportunities

Once registered, drivers will be added to the client's internal Liveforce system. This allows drivers to put themselves forward for additional positions as they become available, including both UK and European work.

There is also an established internal team of five drivers who are given first opportunity to apply for suitable work.

Please note: Manchester depot work is specifically for UK production work.
