Job summary

NW Recruitment Services Ltd are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a Preston operation. Roles include trunking on three to five routes with night shifts, typically starting between 7pm and 9pm and finishing by around 5am, offering weekly pay and long-term opportunities.

Expect 45–50 hours weekly, with enhanced rates for selected nights/weekends. Ongoing training and a modern fleet support a professional environment and potential permanent roles after the 12-week probationary

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving experience required.
• Experience with trunking and scheduled routes.
• Ability to complete vehicle safety inspections before/after shifts.
• Maintain tachograph and transport records in compliance with procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 articulated vehicles on scheduled routes.
• Complete daily safety inspections and report issues.
• Secure loads and ensure deliveries are safe and compliant.
• Liaise with transport office on routes and schedules.
