Job summary

VMC Haulage is hiring a Class 1 HGV Driver in Milton Keynes for a full-time role with a £40,000 annual salary. You will deliver trailers to fulfilment centres, interact professionally with stakeholders, and complete daily vehicle checks. Weekend work is required.

Drivers must hold a valid C+E licence with DQC, have 35 hours CPC, a digital tachograph, and English proficiency. The position includes regular overtime and onsite parking at a modern RDC.

Qualifications

• HGV licence C+E (Class 1) required.
• Driver CPC/Blue Card (DQC) required.
• 35 hours of Driver Professional Competence required.
• Digital Tachograph/Smart Chip Card required.
• Must speak/read English satisfactorily.
• Max 6 penalty points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients professionally.
• Complete daily walk-around checks on trucks/trailers.
• Ensure Drivers Hours and Regulations compliance.
• Maintain contact with Transport Manager regarding delays.
