Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) HGV driver for a temporary assignment starting in Sandown, Isle of Wight. The role includes morning deliveries, a ferry crossing to the mainland, and a direct drop-off to the client, with no overnight stays.

Typical schedule is daytime shifts, five days per week, for about four weeks, with potential ad hoc work. You will be paid £15 per hour, with a guaranteed day rate.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Driver CPC and tachograph card as applicable.
• Professional and safe driving approach.
• Reliable and flexible for shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect and transport loads from the Isle of Wight to the mainland.
• Travel by ferry to complete deliveries to the client.
• Return to the Isle of Wight after deliveries.
• Maintain safety and compliance with transport regulations.
• Communicate effectively with agency and client during shifts.
