Job summary

XPO Logistics is seeking Class 1 HGV drivers for our British Gypsum site in Barrow Upon Soar on a permanent contract. You will work a Monday to Friday day shift, starting at 05:00, at our Barrow site, with loads trunked between locations.

You’ll receive a competitive hourly rate of £17.05, with opportunities for extra shifts. Weekend rates are £25.58 (Sat) and £34.10 (Sun), supporting a reliable, safe operation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement).
• No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.
• A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.

Responsibilities

• Trunk full loads between British Gypsum sites.
• Drive new equipment and pull new trailers.
• Work in an environment that is highly safety driven. Our sites are Silver Standard FORS compliant.
• No manual handling, all loads are loaded and tipped by British Gypsum.
