Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Bristol is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to play a key role in delivering goods safely and on time. This permanent full-time role involves early start patterns and driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles across South Wales, South West, and surrounding areas.

You will follow Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive, perform vehicle checks, handle manual handling, and contribute to a safety-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card required
• At least 6 months HGV Class 1 experience

Responsibilities

• Delivering chilled, ambient, and frozen goods to stores (Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles)
• Drive across South Wales, South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and safety regulations
• Carry out regular vehicle checks and safe loading/unloading
• Manual handling as required and safe lifting procedures
• Maintain high safety and road-traffic standards in all operations

Pay Rate: £43,561.80 plus an additional responsibility bonus of £2,600 per year
Grade: P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: A mix of 4 days out of 7, one day being Saturday. More will be discussed at interview. Start time between 4 - 6 am

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Delivering chilled, ambient and frozen goods to store.
• You will be driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles.
• Areas delivering too - All South Wales and South West, edges of London, Portsmouth and Southampton.
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations.
• Regular completion of vehicle checks.
• Manual handling will be required for this role.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving License (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• You need to have at least 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
