The Best Connection West Bromwich is recruiting on behalf of a respected client in West Bromwich for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join their growing team. You will deliver aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and building sites across the UK with immediate starts available.

Role involves 2–5 deliveries daily, securing loads, opening/closing trailers, and carrying out daily vehicle checks while maintaining compliance with Drivers' Hours and tachograph rules.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) Licence required and valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card held and up-to-date.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is essential.
• Experience securing loads with straps is advantageous.
• Professional attitude with a strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• 2–5 deliveries per day across the UK.
• Deliver aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and building sites.
• Open and close curtain-sided trailers and secure loads with straps.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Follow health and safety procedures and provide professional service at delivery points.

West Bromwich for an experienced

Class 1 HGV Driver to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work delivering aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and construction sites throughout the UK, with immediate starts available for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you'll play a vital role in ensuring products are delivered safely and efficiently while representing a highly regarded business.

Your Responsibilities:

2-5 deliveries per day across the UK

Delivering aluminium trunking to electrical wholesalers and building sites

Opening and closing curtain-sided trailers

Securing loads safely using straps

Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting

Maintaining compliance with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations

Following all health and safety procedures and road transport legislation

Providing a professional service to customers at every delivery point

Start times between 04:00 and 06:00, Monday to Friday.

FLT unloading at customer sites means no heavy unloading duties for drivers.

What We're Looking For

• Valid

Class 1 (C+E) Licence

• Driver CPC Qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Experience securing loads with straps is advantageous
• Professional attitude and strong commitment to safety

£16.00 per hour

£24.00 per hour after 8 hours worked each day
