Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is helping a Sidcup-based, family-run business recruit a full-time HGV Driver. The role involves delivering and collecting vehicles for repair across London and the M25 corridor, with a Monday–Friday 7:00–17:00 schedule (45 hours weekly). Occasional Saturdays paid at time and a half, subject to needs.

You must hold a valid Class 1 licence with relevant certificates; CPC is preferred. This permanent role offers stability and a professional working environment.

Job description

A full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Driver position is available in Sidcup, offering an hourly rate of £18-20 depending on certificates and licence. Working Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 17:00 (45 hours weekly), additional hours may be required, with Saturdays paid at time and a half. The role involves delivering and collecting vehicles for repair on behalf of a leading South East commercial bodyshop group, serving London and the M25 corridor. Drivers will handle vehicle movements between sites and customers, ensuring professional standards throughout. Applicants should hold a valid Class 1 licence and relevant certificates. This family-run business, established in 1986, provides a stable working environment. An excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: £18-20 hourly rate, dependent on certificates and licence.

Location: Sidcup.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00- 17:00 (45hrs per week) may be required to work additional hours, this may include Saturdays which is paid time and a half.

About The Role

The overall purpose will be to deliver and collect vehicles for repair and once repairs are completed You will be assisting in all types of vehicles movements and to be the first face to face contact with customers when collecting vehicles.

• Be able to manage a driving route on a day-to-day basis within the team
• Has driven a "Goods Vehicle" for approx 1 year
