Job summary

TipTopJob in Barking, Essex, seeks an experienced C+E HGV Driver for a full-time, permanent role based in the South East. You will work on palletised deliveries to commercial premises, with a focus on cargo care rather than speed, and you will be paid weekly with a consistent schedule.

Working hours start early (5–6am) Mon–Fri with no nights out, 11-hour days, and opportunities for overtime. You will secure pallets, perform daily checks, and coordinate with the office for consignments and ETA

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Barking , Essex

Salary: A GBP 800 : 900 per week depending on hours/ overtime

The work is consistent i.e. it is a full time, permanent job with weekly pay and your own allocated truck.

The trucks available are automatic, Euro 6, Volvos.

About The Role

• This C+E HGV Driver role involves working directly for our customer, on contract.
• Our customer will be your point of contact for all operational work; however, we will be your point of contact should you have any issues with the truck or what the customer is asking of you.
• We are looking for experienced drivers ONLY.
• This is not a fast:paced role, it is more about the care of the cargo and less deliveries.
• These HGV roles are independent and are ideal for drivers that like to think for themselves.
• London driving will be a part of this job.

Outline Of The Work

• You must ensure that you secure all pallets, and your tachograph and vehicle checks are legal each and every day.
• This logistics role is based on 11:hour days with 5/6am starts, Mon:Fri with no nights out.
• Some days you may work 9:10 hours, obviously this is to your benefit, however if you work over 11 hours you get paid overtime.
• Communication is key for this role, preparation of routing and load positioning is essential to achieving the workload with minimal disruption.

This C+E Driver role involves palletised transport work of the same products each day, mainly uniform cargo, doing deliveries per day to commercial premises across the South East. Each morning, youll be expected to put your card in, do your walk:round checks, go to the office to get your consignments for the day, check your load, secure it as necessary, and commence driving : calling ahead to your first customer to advise an ETA where possible.
