Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is hiring a Class 1 Driver in Coalville. You will perform long-distance trunking, pallet network trunking, and multi-drop deliveries with curtain-sided and refrigerated vehicles, ensuring loads are loaded, secured and delivered safely.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience delivering loads to client sites is advantageous.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Perform long-distance trunking, pallet network trunking, multi-drop deliveries, and handle curtain-sided and refrigerated trailers.
• Provide transport services for multiple clients from the depot, meeting each client's handling and delivery requirements.
• Ensure loading, temperature control (where applicable), and secure transportation of goods.
• Advise on additional certifications (e.g., LST) when opportunities arise.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
• Maintain real-time updates with transport coordination on delivery progress and delays.
• Support the team in managing customer expectations and maintaining high service standards.
• Attend all health, safety, and compliance training sessions.
