Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a Class 1 Driver to join a busy client in Caldicot. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role suits an experienced HGV driver seeking ongoing work with potential for permanent placement after a successful trial period.

You will drive a Class 1 (C+E), complete general haulage tasks, perform daily checks, and ensure paperwork is accurate. The role starts at 06:00 and pays £15.00 per hour, with weekly pay and branch support.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
• Reliable and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle.
• Carry out general haulage deliveries and collections.
• Secure loads correctly and ensure safe transport.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Adhere to driving laws and working time regulations.
• Maintain a professional manner at all times.
